David Grossman

David Grossman graduated from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 1994 and Cum Laude from SUNY at Stony Brook with a BA in Philosophy in 1991. After working 2 years as a Public Defender for the Legal Aid Society in Nassau County he began practicing predominantly in the area of personal injury litigation. Until 2001, Mr. Grossman regularly represented plaintiffs at trial in the areas of labor law, medical malpractice and general negligence. Since 2001, he has focused his practice to representing residents of nursing homes who have been deprived of their rights.

Mr. Grossman works with other firms as co-counsel at various levels ranging from hands-off ghost writing through trial counsel, depending on the level of participation the firms require. Mr. Grossman has numerous multi-million-dollar verdicts and obtained the highest nursing home neglect verdict and the first one to allow punitive damages in the Kings County case of Danzy v. Brooklyn Queens, where the jury awarded over $16 million dollars. Grossman has been in private Practice since 2001 and lectures to Bar Association groups on a variety of topics including trial techniques and Public Health Law 2801-d litigation.

Dennis Kelly

Dennis Kelly graduated Hofstra Law School before joining the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office. He is an experienced litigator in both state and federal courts handling major criminal, personal injury and civil rights litigation. For the past 30 years, he has worked as a partner handling a number of high-profile trials resulting in multi-million dollar awards. Mr. Kelly is a seasoned trial attorney with a proven track record of litigating highly complex matters. Mr. Kelly will bring his tenacity and hands-on trial experience to maximize jury verdicts and settlements for our firm.

Brad A. Leventhal

Brad A. Leventhal graduated from Hofstra Law School in 1988 before initially joining the New York City Legal Aid Society, Criminal Defense Division, where he represented indigent criminal defendants charged with a variety of criminal matters. Mr. Leventhal later went into the private practice of law handling a variety of legal matters including personal injury cases, as well as serious state and federal criminal prosecutions. In 1996, Mr. Leventhal left private practice and joined the Queens County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney where he handled hundreds of serious criminal felony prosecutions. Mr. Leventhal remained at the Queens County District Attorney’s Office for 25 years rising to the positions of Deputy Bureau Chief of the Major Crimes Bureau, and ultimately becoming Bureau Chief of the Homicide Bureau, a position he held for 15 years.

During Mr. Leventhal’s tenure at the Queens District Attorney’s Office he supervised, investigated, and tried many serious major criminal prosecutions, including dozens of homicide prosecutions. Mr. Leventhal retired from public service in 2021 and has recently joined our firm. Mr. Leventhal is a seasoned investigator and an experienced trial attorney with a proven record of investigating and trying serious and complex legal matters. Mr. Leventhal will bring his more than 30 years of investigation, litigation, and direct trial experience to maximize jury verdicts and settlements for our firm.

Cameron Balcarcel

Cameron Balcarcel graduated from Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center where he excelled in his studies at night while working full-time in the legal field. Cameron was a paralegal at various law firms, before being admitted to the New York State Bar, and has extensive experience in the legal field. Cameron fiercely argues and negotiates on behalf of Kelly & Grossman, LLP clients, and relishes the opportunity to help further the interests of his clients.
